CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING

Consecutive interpreting is a type of interpreting that is in demand during negotiations, round tables, press conferences, supervising installation and commissioning works, and when accompanying delegations. It does not require special equipment, and can therefore be carried out on the move, which is one of its key advantages. Our interpreters have both advanced language qualifications and additional specialized education, allowing them to work proficiently in topics within their specialization.

CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING

Consecutive interpreting services – in this type of interpreting, the interpreter listens to a segment of the speaker’s speech, and then interprets it. Consecutive translation requires a good memory, quick reactions, communicative dialog and background knowledge on the interpreter’s part. In addition, the interpreter uses note-taking and signs (known as “interpreter’s notes”) to help them interpret statements into the target language. This type of interpreting has been successfully employed during official high-level meetings, discussion of a range of political, economic and other Issues, in the work of international congresses, symposia, performances and conferences, on live television, and so on. In short, it is used when simultaneous interpreting is not provided.
