As part of its global development strategy, Janus Worldwide successfully opened a new branch in the Czech Republic in early 2015. The new branch began operations with just a few project managers on board and over the next few years developed into a full-scale production hub, representing and supporting the company on the international stage.
With the business growing and our staff expanding, in April 2019 Janus Worldwide decided to open a new office in Cologne, West Germany. One of Germany’s most attractive cities, Cologne is home to a large number of companies and business here is booming.

If they say “life sciences interpreting,” then you know you’ve hit the real “meat.” As a child, I heard the phrase “the remedy can be worse than the cure.” It’s a perfect fit for interpreting in the field of life sciences, where one slip of the tongue can be very costly.
As Janus Worldwide celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary, it is the perfect time to reflect on how one of the pioneers of the modern Russian translation industry, founded in 1996 in a small apartment with fewer than 10 employees, has grown into a global company—it is now one of the largest language service providers in Europe, with a staff of more than 350 and a client roster that includes some of the world’s biggest multinationals.
It is, but a much more pressing one is clients’ lack of awareness about the translation market – where they can find reliable suppliers, what the standard processes are and what quality looks like, which technologies are used, and how prices are set.
The largest global companies specializing in translation, localization and linguistic technology fields are in this index, which was published by the Slator research agency on March 1.As before, companies were ranked by income volume in US dollars in 2020.

Vienna, Austria, August 13th – Earlier this year Janus Worldwide, one of Europe’s largest language service providers, engaged in a partnership with Developing Experts, a leading UK provider of interactive online science lessons for 4 to 14-year-old children. They collaborate with the Chinese Government’s NEIS Future School Lab division to supply 1,500 schools with their Science curriculum software.
The CSA Research report is based on an extensive survey of language service providers using accurate, proprietary methodology applied by the agency since 2010, as well as responses from a representative sample of companies in the translation and localization industry.
