Janus releases new version of TermCheck

Janus continues to develop, grow, and perfect its proprietary solutions, including the useful terminology checking program TermCheck.

At the end of August, a new version of TermCheck, version 2.1, was released. It has an array of additional capabilities compared to the previous iteration of the software: it now supports bilingual *mqxliff files and expanded segmentation in *sdlxliff files (previously, segmentation in files of this format was interpreted inaccurately in some cases); a special error category has been created for instances where the correct term exists in a translated text but is used less often than in the source; and an expanded list of word separators in segments has been implemented.

Terminology consistency is one of the most important aspects of translation quality. By using TermCheck, it is possible to guarantee that all terminology in your documentation has been used properly and consistently. When a check of a text is completed, the program produces a convenient report containing a list of all errors detected and some general statistics. The program rules out false positives from the results.

The new version of TermCheck will be useful to companies looking to significantly improve the quality of internal and external corporate language and communications which, in turn, helps to increase the consistency and attractiveness of a brand.
