Janus Worldwide Deploys Global Technology Platform – Translation Software Solutions
Janus Worldwide has completed implementation of its proprietary Global Technology Platform (GTP), which provides clients with an array of translation software solutions and technologies to minimise their expenses while also ensuring delivery of the highest-quality translation services.
All five platform solutions offered by Janus are dedicated to making the translation and localisation process as simple as possible through translation software solutions. Clients have full access to project data in real time to ensure that work is completed by their deadline and to a high standard.
The Global Technology Platform combines the following technologies: Janus TermCheck, Janus Perfect, Janus Connect, Janus DashPort and Janus Express.
Janus TermCheck is a useful terminology management tool that helps companies to maintain a consistent public message across internal departments, divisions and representative offices. Using Janus TermCheck allows documentation and other external or internal content to be drawn up much more quickly and efficiently.
Janus Perfect is an integrated, multifaceted, automated quality control process that helps to eliminate errors and issues that may arise at any stage of a project. The solution combines expertise, software, specialised tools and documented procedures, not only significantly improving the quality of the end product, but also reducing client expenditure and time spent on preparing a product for release onto the market.
Janus Connect is a proprietary web portal featuring an array of tools for effectively managing and controlling translation projects. The web portal’s interface is intuitively simple and easy to use; users gain access with assigned logins and passwords. Janus Connect allows companies to input and edit their contact information, place orders, choose source and target languages and an array of necessary services, upload translation files and other supplementary materials, leave comments, obtain essential notifications and detailed updates on current projects in real time, and much more besides.
Janus Connect API integrates client CMS systems with the web portal, enabling clients to send files for translation directly from their CMS, and to easily obtain prepared localised materials. Process automation saves a significant amount of time and minimises the risk of errors during the transfer or copying of files, meaning project activities become more efficient across the board.
Janus DashPort is another Janus solution that allows clients to obtain detailed and structured information on projects in real time (up to 15 graphical projections are available within the solution, providing KPI, deadline, readiness stage, pricing and other information).
Finally, Janus Express is the company’s newest app, which was created in response to historical difficulties faced by the industry with small-volume translation requests. The practice of charging additional (and sometimes rather large) sums for rush translations of small volumes of material has become common, resulting in many customers choosing not to place orders. Janus Express ensures that all of these issues are a thing of the past. Using Janus Express, small project processing (full cycle) will be from four to eight hours. At present, Janus Express supports the following languages: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Polish, Portuguese and Chinese (simplified).
