Localization Engineer (Sofia)

Janus Worldwide is in search of a Localization Engineer in Bulgaria, Sofia.

Technical Skills:

• 2-3 years in localization engineering
• Experience with recent Windows operating systems. Macintosh or Linux operating systems knowledge is a plus
• File manipulation, scripting and data parsing experience
• Solid working knowledge of Unicode and multibyte character sets, as well as encodings
• Solid working knowledge of TM tools, such as SDL Studio, MemoQ, Memsource, Cloud-based CAT tools (Wordbee, XTM, Memsource, etc.)
• Knowledge of the following file formats and markup languages: HTML; XML; JSON; Java, properties, resx resources
• Technical process design, implementation and troubleshooting, including customer solutions
• An understanding of and experience in QA processes and methodology
• Experience with Multimedia formats, Flash, Captivate, Articulate Storyline

Nice to Have Skills:

• Knowledge of databases
• Adobe
• Experience in a programming language such as C/C++, VB, VBA, Java
• Knowledge of compilers like MS Visual Studio (Visual C++)
• Solid working knowledge of Software localization tools (Developer Studio, Passolo, Helium, Catalyst or similar tools)
• Experience in handling localized audio and videos in connection with multimedia tools
• Experience with RTL languages
