Vendors are a vital link in our supply chain, which is sometimes overlooked
When our clients across the globe commission a project to Janus Worldwide, we rely on a network of talented individuals with particular skill sets (editors, translators, copywriters, interpreters, writers, etc.) to create, examine, and refine the world-class content that is needed on every occasion.
For the past 5 years we have had over 4. 000 vendors in our network, and today we’d like to show you the little strategies we have implemented to ensure the high quality we consistently provide.
1.Seamless onboarding
We recognize how vital our vendors are to the functionality of our organization. That is why we ensure every vendor has the smoothest onboarding experience possible.
Our Resource Management system is built with simplicity and efficiency in mind. We also provide detailed explanatory materials while always leaving an open contact channel in case they need some guidance. As always, we are focused on helping our Vendors reach their full potential when they‘re working with us. Seamless onboarding is only the first step.
2. Full information disclosure
Even the best vendors in the world will struggle with insufficient information. We conquer this barrier in two ways.
Firstly, we encourage our vendors to request as much information as they require to produce their best work. We encourage them to ask questions and seek clarification at all project stages.
Secondly, we ensure we extract the vital information our vendors need and relay this to them immediately.
We have seen the damage incomplete information can cause, so we do not take chances. This particular point is one of the secrets that has enabled us to provide superior service every time. We go the extra mile with information.
3. Ratings, measurable metrics & reward system.
Progress is metrics-driven. That is why we have a robust “rating and review” system that ensures we see precisely how productive every vendor is and how we can assist them to do better. This also allows us to expertly sort vendors, so they get the assignments where they shine their brightest. This system also allows us to assign rewards to vendors duly deserving of them, and lend a hand of improvement and guidance to vendors falling behind.
4. Integrated contract Management
The last thing we want our vendors to worry about is their contracts. That is why in the nearest future we plan to implement a contract management system that automatically tracks their contracts and remittances while equipping them with every tool they need to sign, process, and review their contracts, all from their personal page on vendor portal.
5. Feedback channel
It goes without saying that we look out for our vendors. That is why we provide specific channels for them to continuously give us feedback to improve the system for them and Janus Worldwide. We recognize that there will be little productivity in the face of bureaucracy and one-sided decisions.
There you have it, five simple, but vital steps we have taken to ensure that our vendors are fulfilled and in a place to provide premium value to us, and you, our esteemed clients.
On a final note, we cannot underestimate the quality of vendors we have the opportunity to work with at Janus. It is essential to note that trust, reliability, and talent play a massive role in our relationship with our vendors. Janus can provide the fantastic service we are synonymous with because our vendors are some of the most dedicated in the industry, and are not only punctual, but highly involved in the end product we provide. This has translated into happy project managers and fulfilled clients. It is little wonder we have vendors who have worked with us for more than five years without complaint.
This is just a snippet of how we operate at Janus.
