Janus Provides Interpreting Services for Chelsea F.C
Janus Worldwide provided interpreting services to Chelsea F.C. coaches at the Yokohama Soccer Clinic held from July 4 to 7 in the Moscow suburbs. The Yokohama Soccer Clinic, a global partnership between Yokohama and Chelsea F.C., opened its doors to young soccer players for the second time this year. Participants included winners of the All-Russian Mini-Soccer at School event and winners of the online YC Camp competition. The lucky youngsters were given a unique opportunity to meet Chelsea coaches and participate in soccer practices and education workshops under their supervision. The captain of the Yokohama coaches this year was Russell William Banyard, Chelsea’s Head of International Coaching.
Russell’s team included Ben Willmore, John Dutton, Matt Brown, and Zach Wistor. The coaches used tailored programs for each age group. Janus Worldwide provided four interpreters for the Yokohama Soccer Clinic. For three of them, it was their second time working on this project, so they were very familiar with the specific requirements and appropriate terminology. The company provided English to Russian interpreting during both training and press conferences. Our interpreting services were highly rated by the client, who noted our professionalism and the excellent performance of our specialists. Our interpreters are really passionate about their work.
They were, naturally, rooting for the talented youngsters (who, by the way, played superbly), and were delighted to be involved in an important social project designed to encourage healthy lifestyles and spread the popularity of mini-soccer among young people.
