Janus is delighted to hear of the victory by Scania’s Angel Call project
Scania & Janus: Harmony of Form and Content Leads to Scania Russia Winning Scania Communications Award
Janus was delighted to hear of Scania’s Russian office winning the annual Scania Communications Awards. The Angel Call mobile app and the Russian Angel Call campaign received the award, victorious over 35 other project nominees from 20 different countries. All of the projects at the competition were recent developments whose purpose was to resolve important social issues and assist partner businesses.
The Russian project — the Angel Call app installed on smartphones connected to Scania’s automatic monitoring system (Fleet Management System) — permits a driver to be monitored as they are driving, and once the drive time limit is reached, sends an alert to the assigned “guardian angel,” who calls the driver and asks him to stop and rest. The project’s ultimate goal is to help save thousands of lives around the world.
The Angel Call app presentation given to the competition’s judges was prepared by specialists in Janus’s Layout and Design Department. The eye-catching design ensured that information was presented correctly and effectively and real harmony in form and content was achieved. This produced a lasting impression on the judges, who named the Russian project the uncontested winner of the competition.
“I’d like to say many thanks to your team for preparing excellent presentation materials! The competition’s judges also noted the professionalism of the presentation: a project may be incredibly interesting, but if the materials are presented incorrectly, no one will ever know about it. Fortunately, we started working on it in advance and put all of our skills into the presentation. I think this is your victory, as well as ours,” said Scania-Rus Marketing Department Head Varvara Astakhova.
Scania has been using us for their layout and design needs for over three years now, and during this time we’ve successfully executed various types of projects. We are delighted that our design was so highly-rated by Scania’s Russian office and congratulate them on their amazing success in the competition!” said Janus Worldwide CEO Konstantin Josseliani.
