Global Technology Platform as a client acquisition and scaling tool
In today’s world, where digital transformation is becoming a key success factor for businesses, the Global Technology Platform (GTP) stands out as a leading web solution that allows clients to efficiently place translation orders. However, order placement is only one of its many features; the GTP is a comprehensive process management tool that ensures transparency, efficiency, and convenience in the interaction between Janus Worldwide and its clients.
GTP vs traditional translation order placement
The more conservative methods of placing orders, such as email, have been widely used in the past. However, they have significant flaws that could lead to data loss from network failures or human error during data entry. The lack of process automation could also cause delays in order processing and reduce work efficiency.
GTP is a fully functional system integrated into Janus Worldwide’s workflow. Orders placed by clients on the platform are automatically sent to Janus ERP, our internal order processing system. This significantly speeds up and optimizes the interaction between the client and the language service provider. It is important to emphasize that GTP is not limited to its order placement function: it provides clients with a complete set of tools for project management, cost control, and work performance monitoring.
Clients expect platforms to be convenient and user-friendly, with customizable settings to meet their needs, while ensuring a high level of security and confidentiality. Other key requirements include the ability to integrate with other enterprise systems and customizable feature settings that comply with the client’s business process requirements. Users also require the ability to collect statistics and export analytical data and reports on vendor performance. The GTP platform fully meets all of these requirements while remaining flexible enough to meet specific client needs.
Using the client portal for client acquisition
Understanding of the role of clients in the success of any business is crucial, as client acquisition and retention play an important role in ensuring the stability and growth of said business. In this context, the development and implementation of innovative tech solutions, such as GTP, is becoming an integral part of the client acquisition and retention strategy.
- GRP provides clients with an easy and understandable way to place translation orders, which facilitates the inflow of new customers.
- The notification system promptly informs clients of various events, such as cost evaluations and order placements, and ensures fast distribution of information, making the portal even more convenient to use.
- In addition to order placement, GTP also enables clients to create and manage budgets. This way, the clients can effectively monitor their expenses and react quickly to changes in the project.
- Data visualization tools and advanced GTP reports allow clients to view detailed statistics of their work orders and analyze the cost efficiency and dynamic productivity of their projects. This contributes to data-driven decision-making and improves strategic planning and budget optimization.
- Finally, multiple roles and permissions ensure that data remains private and confidential, which is important for client scalability.
Case: GTP implementation for a client in the medical industry
A great example is our cooperation with one of the global companies in the medical industry. The client chose to work with Janus Worldwide exclusively through the GTP platform. The Janus Worldwide team was faced with challenging tasks:
- It was necessary to map the complex corporate structure on the portal, including more than 30 departments and divisions.
- We needed to configure visibility of budgets and projects for each department, as well as provide managers with access to their employees’ projects.
- Additional specialized roles were required for budget management.
- One of our tasks was to develop software for the automatic creation of 430 users.
- The client emphasized the requirement to set up authorization through the Azure service to eliminate the need for passwords.
The GTP team successfully completed the outlined tasks:
- The platform’s team and department creation system was optimized to reflect the tree-like structure of the company.
- Appropriate roles were added for effective budget management.
- In addition, the Janus team developed a system for automatic authorization through Azure, allowing users to log in to the platform without entering passwords.
Plans and further development of the platform
Our future plans for the Global Technology Platform include improving the user experience, expanding functionality, and integrating with other business management systems. We are planning a major update to the platform that will include two new modules:
- Machine Translation (MT) module,
- Janus Perfect, the quality control module for translation projects.
These modules will greatly enhance the platform’s capabilities, enabling users to take advantage of the latest machine translation and translation quality evaluation technologies. This will also strengthen GTP’s position as an innovative solution for our clientele.
Using GTP as a tool to streamline translation and localization, monitor order status, analyze and plan costs, and generally optimize cooperation with language service providers is becoming a trend and a necessity for companies seeking to become more competitive and efficient in the multilingual business.
