ERP Janus Vendor Feedback Collection: vendor evaluation system in ERP Janus
The R&D team has successfully completed a project to create a clearly structured vendor evaluation system that enables more objective assessments to be carried out. This then helps to refine the selection of vendors for subsequent projects, improving the quality of the work produced.
The project was rolled out by the R&D team within three weeks, as part of the scheduled workload. There was a trial period lasting around a week, and all of the errors identified during this time were successfully eliminated. The system is now fully operational, delivering all of the declared functionality.
In ERP Janus, a Feedback tab has now been added to each vendor’s profile to collect feedback based on an assessment of the vendor after a job is completed. Each vendor is evaluated according to their performance in three areas: quality, deadline and communication. In each category, performance is rated using a five-point scale, and managers can also add additional text comments and an evaluation summary (see Figure 1). An evaluation status (rating) is calculated for the vendor on the basis of the ratings provided (see Figure 1). Each row is colored depending on the evaluation status awarded.
ERP will also send email notifications to production department project managers when vendors complete their first non-test projects, and quarterly notifications will be sent for all vendors who have completed jobs during the current quarter.
The R&D and Resource Management teams hope that these changes that have been introduced to ERP Janus will improve the quality and accuracy of vendor assessment, helping to boost overall productivity at no additional cost.
