Success Story From Janus Worldwide
Our team at Janus Worldwide recently completed a challenging localization project for a client in the mining industry, focused on a specialized software interface.
The challenge:
The original text was written in an extremely abbreviated form and required technical interpretation. Additionally, the interface had strict line length limitations depending on the size of the information display.
To address this, we approached the project in two phases:
- A full, clear translation of the original into Russian
- A separate version with shortened interface strings, adapted precisely to the character limits
How we delivered:
- We assembled a team of experienced translators and editors with deep knowledge of mining and technical terminology
- We performed the full TEP cycle (translation, editing, proofreading) plus an extra layer of quality control
- We verified terminology and abbreviations using trusted industry sources
- We maintained close, ongoing communication with the client throughout
The result: not just a correct translation, but an adapted solution that fully meets the interface constraints, industry terminology, and client expectations.
Thanks to clear communication and a responsible approach, we once again delivered on Janus’s core principle: Expertise is at the heart of everything we do.
