Press Release. GTP Vendor Plus
Announcement
Janus Worldwide works with major corporate clients seeking localization of a wide range of materials, from simple internal documents to commercials to presentations given by CEOs when representing their company on the international stage. Most large companies handle their translation needs through their marketing department or a specialist translation department. Managing the huge number of service providers involved is a complex task, which takes up the lion’s share of a translation coordinator’s time.
Our goal is to make the translation customer’s job easier by providing a simple tool and easy-to-use vendor analytics. This year, we are introducing a new solution as part of the Janus Global Technology Platform* – GTP Vendor Plus. This solution will allow users to place orders for different vendors by creating one project with multiple vendors.
With GTP Vendor Plus, customers will be able to independently create vendors (suppliers) and set the appropriate parameters for them. This means that it is now possible to specify the name of the vendor on the platform, indicate a list of the vendor’s services with rates and, having placed orders, view reports on them and make comparisons with other vendors. This analysis helps customers to make informed decisions on which cost items can be cut, and to plan budgets for the future.
We know how hard it can be for translation project managers or those responsible for translations on the client side to stand up for themselves, coordinate translation costs with their management team, or justify the need to update vendor lists. With GTP Vendor Plus, we believe users will save time when it comes to gathering information and presenting it in tabular or graphical format. An important new option in GTP Vendor Plus is the introduction of the performer interface: suppliers also have access to the platform, where they can accept or reject orders, track the status of incoming requests, and much more. There is no need to install software on your computer to start working with the platform – you just need Internet access and a browser.
* GTP is Janus Worldwide’s own proprietary platform, which allows clients and language service providers to interact more effectively, transparently, and quickly.
