Janus Worldwide Team Provides Interpreting Services at WorldSkills 2019 Preparation Week in Kazan
From January 21 to 27, the city of Kazan in the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a Competition Preparation Week for the 45th WorldSkills world professional skills championship, the leading international event for vocational education and professional development. More than 600 representatives from over 60 countries, including the WorldSkills International (WSI) Board of Directors and Secretariat, heads of delegations from WSI member countries, experts, competence managers, partners, observers, and many others, took part in the event.
During the week, the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Organizing Committee, delegates from WSI member countries and members of the WSI Secretariat discussed pressing issues associated with preparations for the upcoming championship that will take place in Kazan from August 22 to 27, 2019. The championship will see 1,600 participants compete in six areas and 56 professional skills.
Janus Worldwide’s job was to provide simultaneous and consecutive interpreting services for the Russian/English language pair. Ten interpreters were hired for the project.
