Janus Worldwide Extended Management Meeting Reviews 2018 Results, Sets New Goals, and Comes Up with Unusual Solutions
An extended meeting of the company’s management team at the end of January brought together division managers and the heads of regional offices.
The main goal of the event was to review last year’s results, set goals for 2019, and discuss the company’s development strategy in various areas over the next few years.
The meeting opened with an address delivered by Konstantin Ioseliani, the company’s President and General Director. He talked about the results achieved by the company in 2018 and set goals for 2019. Last year was a productive and successful one for the company: Independent research company Common Sense Advisory named Janus Worldwide the 10th largest LSP in Western Europe; the company achieved excellent results working with its key clients; it became the official distributor of Across solutions in Russia and the CIS; successfully provided linguistic support at a large-scale sporting event, the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia™; broke into new areas of business; and expanded physically. New, ambitious goals have been set for 2019.
Igor Mogilevskii, the company’s Vice President and Financial Director, presented the company’s IT strategy and a new version of Janus Worldwide’s proprietary Global Technology Platform, GTP 2.0, which is faster, more user-friendly, and offers better tools, including an improved user interface.
Following this report, the heads of the company’s functional divisions described their technology, marketing, HR, resource management, and sales strategies for meeting participants, reported on their quality and productivity results, and announced their goals for 2019.
The event’s grand finale took the form of a business game, in which participants worked together in groups to present their vision of the company strategy for 2020–2022 in popular areas of the business. This type of team-building exercise has been effective for many years now, bringing team members closer together and giving them the opportunity to develop new, original solutions.
Annual meetings in this extended and interesting format enable colleagues to learn about the results achieved by other functional divisions and the goals and objectives of the company as a whole, and of each particular division, as well as to share their views on current issues.
