We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager (Germany/EMEA/CIS) to build and grow our direct client portfolio.
This is not a “relationship management” role.
This is a pure hunting role focused on creating pipeline, opening doors, and closing new business.
You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, engaging decision-makers, and positioning Janus as a strategic partner in AI-enabled content and localization.
What You Will Do
- Build and manage your own pipeline from scratch (target accounts, outreach, meetings)
- Identify and engage key stakeholders (Localization, Content, Operations, Procurement)
- Generate and qualify new business opportunities
- Lead sales cycles from first contact to deal closure
- Position solutions, not services (AI, automation, efficiency, cost optimization)
- Collaborate with pre-sales and leadership on complex deals
- Maintain full transparency in CRM (pipeline, activities, forecasting)
What We Expect
Experience
- 5+ years in B2B business development / sales
- Proven track record in new business generation (hunter profile)
- Experience in one of the following:
- SaaS / MarTech / CX platforms
- Content / localization / digital services
- Enterprise services with complex sales cycles
Skills & Mindset
- Strong ability to build pipeline independently (no reliance on marketing leads)
- Comfortable with cold outreach and proactive sales
- Ability to sell value and outcomes, not just services
- Consultative approach: identifying client pain and translating it into solutions
- High level of ownership and accountability
- Adaptability in a transforming, AI-driven market
Language
- Fluent English, German is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
- Consistent pipeline generation (target accounts, outreach, meetings)
- €300k–€500k+ qualified pipeline within the first months
- Strong conversion from meetings to opportunities
- First deals closed within the initial months
