Janus Worldwide Participates in Together 2019
On February 21–22, Janus Worldwide participated in the fascinating international translation and localization industry event Together 2019, which brought together members, friends, and partners of the European Language Industry Association (ELIA).
Together is an excellent platform for open conversation about trends in the translation and localization industry and new approaches that can help to improve customer service. The theme for 2019, Mastering Digital Transformation, encouraged companies to focus on their key competitive advantages and develop effective solutions to meet customers’ ever-changing needs. The core issues discussed included increasing productivity, working with remote teams, specializing, post-editing, and machine translation.
Janus Worldwide President and General Director Konstantin Ioseliani was joined by Resource Manager Ivana Kocova to deliver a presentation entitled Let Your Project Management Software Choose the Right Vendor for You as part of the Trends and Technology section.
Konstantin and Ivana demonstrated how information on previously completed projects can help you to choose the right vendors for future projects. Janus uses the Vendor Rating and Suggestion Module, part of the company’s project management system, to successfully manage this process. The Vendor Suggestion Form does all the analytical work for the project manager and/or resource manager and suggests the best vendors for each particular order, in other words those that will be able to deliver the required quality by the given deadline and within the budget available. The vendor’s rating is based on the vendor’s qualifications, experience, productivity, cost of services, and other parameters.
This approach to choosing vendors offers a number of advantages compared to a manual search, from the ability to view all available information about a vendor on a single page, to the option to rate vendors by their suitability for a particular project and filter out those busy working on other things. Our technology once again proves that the meaning of “difficult” is getting further away each and every day, and this is definitely good news.
Our company very much enjoys participating in events like Together, and we are always delighted to share our expert opinion, knowledge, and experience with all industry representatives and, of course, to learn from our colleagues’ experience. Our goal is to offer our clients the best solutions, most closely tailored to their needs, and we continue to improve our approaches and tools and master new technologies.
