Janus Worldwide Partners’ Day: On a Portal to a New Dimension, the Story of a Video Clip, Some Big Sporting Events, and High-End Design
On April 20, Janus Worldwide held a Partners’ Day event for its clients. This year’s event included an impressive variety of topics and informative presentations. But we remained true to our traditions, and the warm, friendly atmosphere and relevant, quality presentations were once again the center of attention at this much-anticipated meeting of company representatives and partners.
The event was hosted by Janus President Konstantin Josseliani, who, in his presentation, talked to guests about some of the important events in Janus Worldwide’s history, the company’s global presence (with over 10 offices around the world), and its position in the industry. Based on ratings of the world’s largest translation companies such as The Top 100 LSPs in 2017 and The Top LSPs in Western Europe in 2017, Janus Worldwide is the 49th largest translation company in the world and the eleventh largest in Western Europe.
Business Development Director Dmitrii Molodyk gave a presentation called Translation Management Using GTP: The Portal to a New Dimension. Dmitrii’s presentation was colorful and truly interactive. It was accompanied by unique, eye-catching images and video content that demonstrated the convenience of working with Global Technology Platform (GTP) components, whose advantages have already been embraced by many of the company’s clients. Dmitrii described each platform component (Janus Connect, Janus Dashport, Janus Express, Janus Termcheck, and Janus Perfect) in detail and highlighted their key advantages, including ease-of-use and data storage, terminological control, speed, accuracy, and high-quality results. These qualities make GTP an indispensable tool for solving day-to-day problems and a true portal to a new dimension of cooperation with the company.
Key Account Manager Natalia Rudinskaya’s presentation, The Story of a Video Clip, also found an interesting way to relay the topic under discussion. Natalia described a typical situation in which her colleagues find themselves when working on video localization projects. This relatively simple (or seemingly simple) task consists of numerous smaller tasks. To complete these, the manager must engage a whole team of specialists, from decoders, translators and editors to proofreaders, voice talent and engineers. On the way to achieving their ultimate goal, Janus Worldwide’s team often encounters new and additional things requested by clients from time to time, but for these specialists, nothing is impossible: their extensive experience, high level of professionalism, can-do approach, attention to detail, and true love of and commitment to the job help them achieve a result that completely satisfies our clients each and every time.
The event continued with a panel discussion on The Peculiarities of Providing Linguistic Support to Large-Scale Events. Andrei Moiseev, Head of the Linguistic Services Division for the Russia 2018 Organizing Committee, gave an expert talk as part of the discussion. Interpreting Projects Department Head Lyudmila Milovidova also participated as a moderator and asked Andrei a number of interesting and important questions. The discussion was well-received by the audience, and this was reflected in the many questions asked by audience members.
Design, Layout, and Printing Department Head Anastasia Bogatova informed the audience of a number of professional design services that the company provides to customers. The Design, Layout, and Printing Department employs some 30 highly-qualified specialists with extensive experience. The wide array of software used by the department means they can handle any job that comes their way. As part of her presentation, Anastasia talked about the diverse projects that she and her colleagues have successfully completed, such as designing and creating souvenir and printed products, web advertisements, outdoor advertisements, and many more. Depending on the clients’ needs, company specialists can develop a full line of corporate materials from scratch or continue to develop a pre-existing brand book. Ordering a full line of design, layout, and printing services from a translation company allows clients to significantly reduce costs and the time and effort required to procure these services elsewhere.
During the coffee break, participants had an opportunity to discuss issues in an informal setting, exchange opinions on the presentations, and discuss other questions they may have had. We are grateful to those who took part in our traditional Partners’ Day event and we look forward to future meetings with our clients!
