Janus Worldwide production hub in Brno, Czech Republic
As part of its global development strategy, Janus Worldwide successfully opened a new branch in the Czech Republic in early 2015. The new branch began operations with just a few project managers on board and over the next few years developed into a full-scale production hub, representing and supporting the company on the international stage.
Perhaps you’re curious about what this hub looks like now and why it has become an important location for Janus Worldwide and its international clients?
The strategic location in Central Europe and core team of experienced project managers have helped to support clients all over the world, in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
During its first few years, the team was bolstered by QA specialists and resource managers. The project processing cycle became more integral and effective. This was just the beginning, however. The team developed further with the addition of engineering and DTP specialists, who provided professional technical support, increasing the quality of the services provided.
With comprehensive support from the company’s HQ in Vienna, regular international team meetings in Brno for company staff based in Austria, Germany, the UK and the USA became important events for the Czech team and helped to develop new strategies and make important decisions.
Over the next few years, the Brno team was expanded to include a business development specialist to cover the Czech market and provide support for the DACH and international markets as well. We’ve also warmly welcomed an extremely professional marketing specialist, who is responsible for the company’s global communications and has vastly improved the design and content of the company website, significantly influenced the company’s marketing strategy and enhanced Janus Worldwide’s visibility.
The project management team grew further as project managers were promoted to senior project managers and team leads, and a global operations manager was brought in. Digital marketing has received support from a dedicated project manager with significant practical experience in this rapidly developing field, and a project manager for life sciences was brought in to promote development in this area. Two core members of the DACH Department also joined the Brno team, one of whom now serves as deputy head of the department.
The team of resource managers was significantly boosted by the arrival of a very experienced global resource management director, who brought progressive views and effective approaches to the task of managing the ever-growing team of Janus Worldwide vendors and external specialists.
At the same time, the specialist quality assurance team has grown into the Languages Service Department, which has developed workflows for evaluation and designed metrics and methodology for translation quality processes, with a department head located in Brno.
Thanks to the expertise of the Janus IT team, it was also possible to make the Brno office a technical and information hub for the company, helping to support international employees located in Europe.
There is still tremendous potential for the future growth of the company and its European branches, and we’re looking forward to providing you with even better services and more advanced support in the future!
